Our hometown has so much to offer for outdoor recreation that has long been ignored, under utilized, and under experienced. As part of a broader campaign to highlight these experiences and do better to engage the assets Helena has, Thrive created ads for statewide travel guides. The goal was to not only communicate the assets themselves but also to convey the spirit of adventure and soul deep culture that exists in the Delta.

As we continue to partner with Helena’s Advertising & Promotion Commission, this campaign grew into a new brand refresh, marketing audit, and a revamp of the city’s tourism website.

Through this process, we identified marketing narratives as areas of strength to be communicated through advertising channels to attract visitors.We considered existing local tourism infrastructure, National and State-level existing promotional investments, such as the Americana Music Triangle and Arkansas’ emphasis on outdoor recreational tourism. These narratives are:

  1. Music Heritage

  2. The Great Outdoors

  3. Food and Downtown Entertainment

  4. African American History

  5. Historic Helena and the Civil War

  6. The Arts
